Step #1: Gather your boxes (even better if they're falling apart already) and scissors.
Step #2: Pick out initials of friends of family (or yourself) and cut them out.
Step #3: Use an office clip or clothing pin to attach your initials to a special gift. This one was for my mom's birthday (first name Nina). Feel free to write a little message on the back of the initial. Another secret: The "wrapping paper" I used was actually the crinkled up paper you find inside a newly purchased purse. I love the almost kraft color with the red baker's twine. Plus it's free and one less thing to make it to your trashcan.
That's it! Easy as 1-2-3. Want a peak inside my mom's birthday gift? I already gave her the gift so it's safe!
Two little antique (early 1900's!) ledger books. I loved them.
I love this idea! Great recycling idea. I have a couple of empty game boxes that I saved as well, plus a few cereal and cracker boxes. Good luck with blogging! It's fun, I enjoy it although sometimes I feel I am blogging to myself...LOL

ReplyDeleteI love this! Thanks for the inspiration! I'll be following your blog :)
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas. I like old ledger books - it's funny that they are now cool after decades of being recyled away - - my parents had lots of this kind of stuff, it's all gone now, and now people appreciate the writing and paper.... Funny how life works.
